We are pleased to continue our trusting, intensive and inspiring cooperation with the „association of filmmakers in federation of bosnia and herzegovina”

Following on directly from their highly acclaimed work last year, three prominent representatives of Bosnian film - Elma Tataragić, Melina Alagić and Asja Krsmanović - will once again be responsible for selecting the international short films for the main competition and the student competition. 


ELMA TATARAGIĆ 

born in 1976, is a university lecturer, screenwriter, director and producer with many years of experience as programme manager of numerous film festivals. As a professor, she heads the Dean's Office for International Cooperation and Scientific Research in the Arts at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. She is a member of the European Film Academy and has been President of the Association of Filmmakers in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2019. As a screenwriter and director, she has presented her own work at numerous festivals, including Cannes and the Berlinale.

MELINA ALAGIĆ 

was born in Čapljina (BIH) in 1985. She studied dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, where she also completed her master's degree. She is the coordinator of the BH film programme and selector for BH student films, coordinator of the European Film Challenge for Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the editors of the BIH film catalogue and the BIH Film database. In the period 2010 - 2013 she worked as a screenwriter for the children and youth programme at BHT1. She was an assistant for theatre pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo and is the Secretary General of the Association of Filmmakers.

ASJA KRSMANOVIĆ

was born in Sarajevo in 1988. She studied dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. She has worked as a dramaturge for numerous theatre plays as well as for several radio and television projects. Since 2011, she has been working as the coordinator of the competition, short and focus programme of the Sarajevo Film Festival, and since 2017 she has been the director of the student competition programme. She worked as an assistant director on several short films. She wrote the screenplay for the short film DAMAGED GOODS directed by Nermin Hamzagić. She wrote the play "SAUER" which premiered at the Theater Oberhausen in 2024.
